Cancellations, changes and refunds: Once you have paid your deposit, the remainder of the trip cost is due and will be invoiced 60 days prior to the start of the trip. Your deposit is non-refundable, but can be applied to a future trip (within 15 months from the original trip date) in the event you must cancel.

We recommend purchasing a trip insurance policy which includes ‘trip cancellation for any reason.’

We reserve the right to substitute an activity, venue or accommodation of equal value in the case of issues created by weather, cancellations by guides or venues, closures, strikes and other unpredictable events beyond our control. Participants will be notified as soon as possible of any changes.

We reserve the right to adjust this itinerary before the tour begins based on the number of participants and participants’ level of Italian. This tour requires a minimum of 6 participants to run as planned. That said, we make every effort to avoid cancellations and will proceed with fewer travelers whenever possible. In the event of trip cancellation by Vero Viaggio, you will receive a 100% refund.

🏠 Where we’ll stay Private apartments in the historic center. Each apartment features a king size bed, private bath, desk, comfortable seating, kitchenette and air conditioning.

🔟 Tour size We limit the number of people on our tours to 10 so that we can provide a very personal, small group environment, with plenty of opportunities for you to practice speaking in an authentic setting.

🇮🇹 Level of Italian We welcome Italian learners who have reached an A1+ level of Italian. If you’re not sure of your level, you can check this guide to do a self-assessment. If you have questions, please get in touch and we will help you determine if this trip is a good fit for you.

👟 Activity level The activity level of this trip will be medium, with quite a bit of urban walking, steps, and some light hiking. We do a lot each day, so come prepared to be active.

🍝 Food preferences The activities involving food will have vegetarian options, but if you are lactose or gluten intolerant or have other food allergies your options may be more limited. Please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.

  • Heather Broster, creator of Daily Italian Words, is a graduate with honors in linguistics from the University of Western Ontario.

    She is an aspiring polyglot, proficient in English and Italian, as well as Japanese, Welsh, and French to varying degrees of fluency.

    Originally hailing from Toronto, Heather has resided in various countries, notably Italy for a period of six years. Her primary focus lies in the fields of language acquisition, education, and bilingual instruction.

    Together with her husband Mathieu, they are dedicated to nurturing their young son’s proficiency in four languages.

  • Ashley D'Aristotile is a seasoned travel advisor with over a decade of experience planning custom itineraries and group trips.

    Ashley founded her own agency, Flyway Travel, in 2022 to help curious travelers experience Europe though creative and culturally-immersive trips. As a first-generation Italian-American, Ashley brings a deep appreciation for heritage and connection to her work. She is based out of Orlando, Florida, and speaks intermediate Italian. 

    Ashley will be your coordinator for all travel logistics, including arrival coordination and optional travel to other areas of Italy after our immersion week.
