What to pack

Here’s our suggested list of what to pack (and not pack) for a week with Vero Viaggio. These are just some helpful ideas – of course you should bring what you need to travel comfortably.

All accommodations will generally include soap, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryers, coffee machine or hot water kettle, air conditioning (available seasonally).

Apartment style accommodations may include a washer (and, very rarely, a dryer).

Please ask us if you have any questions about what’s included in your specific location.

🧳 What to pack

Comfortable walking shoes (we’ll be on cobblestones, uneven pavement, stairs and hills)

Dressier shoes for evenings or special events (opera, nicer dinners)

Lightweight rain jacket or packable waterproof coat

Layering pieces (light sweater, cardigan, or jacket for mornings and evenings)

Scarf (useful for warmth, sun, churches, and dressing up an outfit)

Day bag or small backpack (we’ll also provide you with a branded tote bag when you arrive)

Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)

Reusable water bottle

Prescription medications in original containers

Copies of prescriptions and important medical information

Small personal first-aid items (band-aids, blister care, pain reliever, etc.)

Comfort items for long days (foot cushions, compression socks, if you use them)

Stain remover (for the occasional ragu incident)

Sleepwear appropriate for the weather where nights can be chilly

Swimsuit (for coastal locations)

Compact umbrella

Travel adaptor / converter plug for Italy (Type C/F)

Phone charger and any needed charging cables

Portable power bank for long days out

Unlocked smartphone with international plan or eSIM

Printed and digital copies of passport and travel documents

🤔 What not to pack

Laptop (you won’t need it for our tour)

Italian grammar books (unless you want to lug around 1001 Italian verbs all week)

Multiple heavy jackets or bulky outerwear

Hair tools that don’t have a dual voltage switch

Excessive shoes (one walking pair + one dressier pair is usually enough)

Large suitcases that are difficult to maneuver on uneven pavement and through narrow streets
